What is a freelance auction?

A freelance auction site works just like any other auction site with sellers, buyers and bids in between.

The buyer creates the auction which states there requirements and the sellers bid to do the work for the lowest price. The auction basically works in reverse to ebay.

So, if you want a programmer or designer to create something for your web site, just create an auction with your details and watch the bids roll in. If your a freelance programmer or designer you can search through the auctions and bid on any that take your fancy.

This site has been designed for freelance programmers from the UK only. UK programmers are finding it impossible to make a living from freelancing on international auction sites because they are unable to compete with freelance programmers from other countries who can live on a far smaller wage.

How our protection scheme works

When a service buyer puts money into there site account that money can not be removed until they either pay it to a freelancer or ask a mediator to return the money. If a mediator is required they will not return the money unless the 'service buyer' can show them that the required work has not been properly completed. Both the 'service buyer' and freelancer will be involved in this process in the hope that an agreement can be achieved.

When you win an auction the funds of the 'service buyer' will be visible to you. If you wish to use our mediation service you must not start working on a project untill you can see the required funds have been deposited.
